One of the drawbacks of the typical sand/
organic root zone is a low Cation Exchange
Capacity, usually in the range of <1 to 1.5 meq per hundred grams of soil. PermO2Pore™ enhanced root zones normally exhibit improved C.E.C. ranges from 1 to 3.5 and can be manipulated to higher C.E.C.’s where indicated by environmental conditions.

In addition, PermO2Pore™ ceramic
granules exhibit a natural affinity for desirable nutrients, especially calcium, magnesium and potassium, and a low attraction for sodium. As a result, PermO2Pore™ enhanced root zones provide an improved nutrient balance in the greensmix initially and require little or no pH adjustment.
